Super AJ!

The kid loves sunglasses right now...
And he gets this Ray Charles/Stevie Wonder
kind of look as he tries to keep them on his
face.

RIP Patty the Guinea Pig

Patty, Tatum's Guinea Pig from her 8th birthday died today of unknown causes. She was approximately 2 years old and had lived with the Geiser family for 16 months.
She was happily playing this morning but was found dead in her home shortly after lunch.
A small private family burial service will be performed tonight.
We are sad that we will no longer have Patty with us as she was a great friend to all of our children. She was a good Guinea Pig and she will be missed!
Say a little prayer for my grieving daughters as they are awfully sad!

Hiking Wildcat

If you have followed the Geiser family for any length of time, you know that one of our favorite activities is hiking Wildcat Glades in South Joplin.

Preparing for the hike at Wildcat, AJ gets loaded up in the back pack...
The boy loves to throw rocks. He can do this for hours!

A happy Daddy with his wonderful kids... Wildcat has a way of taking away any stress you're feeling! Here we are on the highest spot along the hike (not that high, but it feels miles away from SW Missouri to us!

And, at twilight, we head back down the hill to the car... I think that it's time to go back...

A Picture of Life with AJ

This is the blur of life with AJ. For one, the kid is always on the move unless he's sleeping... For another, the kid is growing like crazy (when you're kid is larger than just about every 18-24 month old you know, it's getting a little crazy)...
And this is him, running away and always looking back to see if you're following... maybe that's why the kid is always falling into something and bashing his face!
But then again, this little Super-boy loves to read... if there's a book around, you can be sure that he'll soon be bringing it to you to read to him. He's one of a kind, and we love him bunches (in case you couldn't tell!).

Happy 4th of July!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yggrON3Dwxs

"Two summers past" we truly were in New England (Thanks Josh & Krystal for hosting us!) and we were amazed on our whole trip by what we saw driving from Missouri to Atlanta to Delaware to Maine to Niagra Falls to Pittsburgh to Ohio and home again. It was a long and beautiful trip. We have an amazing country and we are so thankful for our freedom. And for now, "the holy King of Israel loves 'us' here in America".

God bless America and may we never forget who gives us the blessings that we have. Say a prayer for President Obama, our Senators and Congressmen, our Supreme Court Justices and our military. May we seek His face and may He continue to bless.

Light Switch Genius

With AJ, you have to constantly be on your guard - because this is the kind of stuff he does! He is always running, jumping, climbing - always and forever climbing. And what's good father do when he sees his "genius" son figuring out his own way to turn on the lights? He grabs and camera and blogs about it.
The marks on his face are from a recent trip down our steps on the back deck when he tumbled, flipping a couple times. Or was it from Grandma's house... or was it from that time that he tripped in the yard - I don't know because about every third day he's doing something new to beat up his little face!

God has something special for this kid though. He's always inventing, always thinking, always finding new ways to get to something that's off limits, downright dangerous, and/or at a much higher height than his mommy or daddy could ever feel too comfortable with! We love him, but we just feel that we need about 10 more sets of eyes to keep him from hurting, maiming or killing himself! :) Thank God for angels!
